Over the past few years I have hired several contractors to do various work at my house. Those experiences were horrible to the point that I never wanted to hire any one ever again. However my only good experience was a contractor that I found thru Service Magic. That job was to have the house insulated using blown in insulation. Not only did the contractor do a great job, he also made sure that I was happy and satisfied with the work. He has since done work for a friend of mine who was also very pleased. So with one very difficult remaining task to be completed, I decided to try another contractor using Service Magic's recommendations. This contractor was Ken Howell from Acton, MA.

Ken has to be the very best person I have hired so far and I hope to bring him back for a few more projects in the near future. Not only was he very far in pricing out the job. He never once left me wondering if he would return or finish the job to completion. When there was a need to contact him, Ken always got back to me right away with his very pleasant and professional mannerism. It is also important to note that this is the very first time that I have not had to spend many hours cleaning up after someone. What a pleasant surprise that was. I could go on and one with praise for Ken, but please understand that this is a person who is very proud of his work and has more integrity that most people I know.

My only hope now is that he will still be available to help with my future projects as there are not to many people out there like him.

When he came to give an estimate, he spent a great deal of time explaining how I got the rot in the shingles and what should be done to correct it. He detailed all the work he would do and the materials he would buy as part of the project. Once we signed the contract he came and started the work within 48 hours. He completed the job the next day. The site was left in a clean state and the work was done exactly as he promised. I would hire him again.
