Dealing with Mr. Waldman and his company has been a pleasure. To his credit, Mr. Waldman proactively handled a minor snag in the project concerning one instance of poor communication by the contractor hired to do the work. Any and all confusion would have been instantly handled by a phone call to us by the contractor (there was too much moisture in the wood to do the repairs on the second day so the project was understandably behind by one day) but Mr. Waldman alleviated any concerns by discussing the issue with the contractor and rectifying the situation immediately. With that aside, the contractor, Randy, did an absolutely amazing job. It was money very well spent and wood floors that were very badly chipped, scraped, and gouged by the previous homeowners now look like polished glass. The floors are beautiful and I highly recommend Floor Gem based on the price, the quality of work, and my overall experience with Mr. Waldman.

I had old parquet wood floors that had been covered by carpet and had water damage. They replaced the damaged tiles and sanded and refinished the floors. They did the job quickly and professionally. At my request, they came back and installed wider molding to cover the nail holes from the carpet tack strips. The floor looks really beautiful. Like a new floor. You can't tell where the new tiles were inserted. Jay, my contact, was very nice and helpful and responsive. He has even offered to come back after I settle in and fix some scratches that occurred while I was moving in. Their prices are reasonable, too. A great company.
