My big mistake was not hiring Smith & Sons from the beginning. I was assured by the contractor hired to remodel our offices that he had the the expertise needed toi install and finish solid oak flooring, I took him at his word. What a mistake, thankfully Gabe of Smith & Sons came to the rescue. Now the floors are perfect.

They were very professional, nice, and efficient. They were able to accomodate some issues on my side effectively, and even though they got swamped the week of my work, they did an excellent job! Knowledgeable people! Highly recommend.

floors look excellent but there are a few spots that did not get done. Also, I specifically asked if the tops of bar and cabinets could be covered with plastic to protect items which were placed there, I was assured this would happen and it did not. Several items had so much of the fine dust on them that they had to be thrown away.
My first contact with Smith and Sons was with a representative who seemed very knowledgeable, my second meeting was with the company owner who also was gracious and knowledgeable. I thought they would be involved in the actual work, the person who actually did the work I had never met and was not able to answer questions. This was somewhat disappointing.
All in all my floors look beautiful, I am a little worried about the long term but am very happy with initial outcome. I would definetely recommend Smith and Son to others but would make sure they asked more questions.
