My wife and I retained Brian Leonard to remove old tile from the floors of a bathroom and adjacent foyer and to replace them with a different size tile. The bath was a three piece bath (with a shower, not a tub). The preexisting tile in the two areas, bath and foyer, was unrelated, two completely separate installations.

Before beginning, he furnished us a written statement of his proposal in complete detail, clearly stating exactly what the responsibilities of the parties were.

Besides the floors, we had Mr. Leonard completely rebuild the shower, including a new curb and the mudpan surrounding the drain. Of course, he had to marry up the new shower base to the existing tiled walls in the shower.

He installed new tile running without a break from the bathroom into the foyer, all diagonal. He also installed tile baseboard.

Mr. Leonard is a genuine artisan, the like of which is hard to find. He did an excellent job, with which we are well pleased. He started on the agreed start date and kept all time commitments made. He did the job with as little disruption of our household routine as possible. He cleaned up completely after the job was finished, removing all debris, his tools, and any unused materials. He vacuumed the entire area before leaving.

Mr. Leonard conducted the work during convenient hours so as not to disturb our neighbors with the unavoidable sound of the tile saw.

He coordinated his work smoothly with our plumber.

He was very willing to discuss possible alternate treatments in the installation and to carry out our wishes in every detail.

When the job was finished, he promptly furnished us a revised final statement to show very accurately the work actually done, reflecting some mutually agreed modifications along the way. We paid him promptly in full.

All in all, we are very pleased that your service recommended Mr. Leonard to us.
