Repair or Replace a Sump Pump in 20833
Bruce (plumber) of Reliance Plumbing in Westminster, MD came to resolve what I thought was a broken sump pump. I was prepared to replace it at a cost of appprox. $350.00 for time and materials total. He arrived promptly the following morning and after approx. 10 minutes was able to tell me that the only problem was that the outside drain pipe had sagged so that it lost it's gravity assisted drain property and after 2 very cold nights had frozen. He unplugged the pump and told me that as soon as the weather warmed up that I could re-align the outside pipe along the house and the pump would be fine. He asked me for $45 and I gave him $50 for his honesty. Bruce has become my preferred plumbing service!

Chris was very informative and took care of the problem in no time. My only issue was I was informed the job would not cost over $200 but actually I was charged $240. But he stated others would have charged me more. Other than that, I was pretty pleased with his work. However, I know to at least request a written estimate next time.
