Sump pump had come apart and could be repaired but it was already 7 years old, rusted and corroded so it was recommended that I replace it. I took the plumbers advice and replaced it with a new sump pump. The new one was installed rather quickly and is much quieter than my old one so I'm happy. While it cost more to replace it than repairing the old one, I agreed with the plumber that it was money well spent since the old one could go out at any time if he repaired it. I didn't want to risk my basement being flooded so it was good advice and a worthwhile investment. Plumber was knowledgable, trust worthy and swift. Would use them again.
