Called me within the hour on a Sunday afternoon, spoke at length on the phone, came to give us an estimate next day or two on replacing our fallen attic stairs and even temporarily fixed it for us -- without a promise of us hiring him. Within a couple of days he had a new staircase and came and installed it for us when he said he would. Also did a couple of minor repairs for us at a small charge.
