I was told that they would provide me with two custom made intake air filter holders so that I could change the filter from the hall and not have to open the furnace.
Three weeks later an installer brought a filter which he put in at the bottom of the unit, just above the air intake hole in the closet floor.
This filter was the size of the opening in the heater . The pre-existing hole in the floor is 50 % of that , restricting the incoming air. (Like sucking soda with a bent straw ! ) I am writing the contractor about that in a few days. I want the floor hole enlarged to match the area of the air intake of the heater.
