We asked the engineer to assess the structural integrity of a cracked lintel in a load-bearing wall of a 30 year old home. Also, to assess an opening in that wall that was constructed by our contractor. The engineer provided a clear and thorough explanation of his assessment and recommended actions which was to re-enforce the supporting studs and lintels.
