Sam came out to my house himself and was immediately able to give an accurate and reasonable estimate. Other company's sent talky sales people who had no clue about exactly how a job would be done or it's cost until they went back to the office and "crunched some numbers," but could tell me all about their own grandchildren and their hobbies...Ok for 5 minutes - not an hour. Sam and his son absolutely know their stuff and were very professional. They shored up the underside, included trim to recreate the previous look and beveled a piece to minimize an area where it had been easy to trip down the stairs for no additional cost. Quality job.

Hire a Handyman in 60193

Failed to mention minimum charge when asked about cost - even after I mentioned other quote with a smaller minimum charge. Would only call in the future if I have several small jobs or one large job. Not worth it for the one small job that I had this time. Had to reschedule first appointment (due to a family emergency on his part so was understandable, but inconvenient). Nice man and did job well once he got there.
