Sears has the structured organization to make home improvement work: There's the salesman, the manager of services, the installer, etc. When there's consistent process, there's better service. This is not to say that Pella would not have done a good job. Sears' price was much lower and probably not surprisingly: Pella is more oriented toward the more esthetic- and wood-influenced look and not as interested in something as prosaic as one steel security door.
