I called Randall for an inspection of a fireplace & a wood stove in my rental house because the previous tenant complained that the unit smoked. I had an inspection done earlier by another company. The service technician said that there were problems with the firebox that needed repair, but he never sent the inspection report or the bill! Randall found that the two units were in good condition & explained that smoking problem was probably caused by the cast iron stove, which draws poorly when it is cold. I was able to explain all of this to the new tenant & hopefully they will not have any problems.

Randall was very quick and the cost was reasonable compared to the others---$70 less than Ladder 1---to clean the chimney. Due to the weather, he was unable to install a weather/animal guard but completed that part of the job a few days later.
