This was a big project for us, and expensive, but Russ was flexible and listened to all our concerns as we went along, making unexpected changes on the way as we got further into things. We put in a long stone walkway and a pergola, stone steps and gardens along a porch and two sides of the house. We also asked for some woods to be cleared out and chipped. Our only advice would be the same for any contractor-- take notes of your conversations and draw out diagrams if necessary. Russ developed a detailed contract and we used that as a reference several times. He is a very charming, funny guy with a small crew, but they are very efficient.

The overall and upfront price was great. They got right to work in a rapid manner and completed the work efficiently once they started. For improvement, I suggest that they improve their communication... especially with a subcontractor. Several decisions were made before consulting with me and I was always available by phone.
