| David Moyal (owner of EMS) is an honest, courteous and trustworthy person. We always felt comfortable having him and his crews in the house even if we weren't there. He addressed every concern we brought to his attention and respected our opinions. This is notable considering how difficult it is to find a dependable contractor. He gets the highest marks in this regard. However, his initial schedule was 4-5 weeks and the project took 12 weeks (and still isn't completely done). As well, we have mixed reviews about the quality of his work - sometimes it was good and sometimes not. In particular, his framers were mediocre, especially when it came to the finishing touches (crooked doors and door frames, misaligned windows, poor stucco finishing, among other concerns). On the other hand, his tile guy was fantastic and super professional - our shower and bathroom look phenomenal. Overall, a mixed experience and we continue to have EMS returning to the house to fix things that probably should have been done properly the first time. |
