We purchased a house with an old coal fired furnace that had been converted for use with gravity heat. The heater itself was emitting a high level of CO, so it had to go. And the old furnace was consuming a considerable amount of space in the basement, so we decided to have that removed. The furnace contained small amounts of asbestos tape on the ducting itself as well as asbestos in the fire brick. When we put this out for bid, Reliance came in as the lowest. Brian, the owner, was friendly, explained the process of removing the material, and was open to answering all questions. These guys were fast and charged only the amount they bid.
