A Family Delight
We ramped up the date and style of this older kitchen into luxurious family and entertainment accommodations. We converted the old breakfast nook into a chic wet bar, complete with wine cooler and stem storage. The peninsula now works twice as hard with a cooktop allowing the chef to face his guests, and making better use of the storage underneath. The refrigeration is now centralized, flanked with abundant storage and display area. The double oven wall increases cooking and storage volume.

01 Transforming the Ordinary
To transform the ordinary, we had to open up the kitchen, fit all the new high end appliances, and add more storage. We removed the old peninsula and added a small island with a prep sink to divide the main clean up sink from the cook top. We placed a large pantry next to the double oven and a broom closet across from the pantry next to the refrigerator. Finally, we used Quartz counter tops which provide low maintenance, are stain resistant and very durable - ideal for an active and busy family
