"I contacted this company to get an estimate on spray foam insulation for a relatively small rim board/floor joist space in a new home construction. John gave me an estimate of $525. I considered doing it myself, but decided to go ahead. I requested a day when I could be on the job site but the tech shows up a day later at my office. He was told to do a "flash" coat. I thought I was getting insulation. The flash coating was only 1/2 inch thick in many areas, no significant R-value. The space was sealed, the tech did what he was told. I just was not told what to expect. To call this "insulation" is misleading. I wasn't told real cost up front."
