This particular homeowner had an existing fireplace that had two brick columns carried floor to ceiling. She was unhappy with the look of that and felt it did not match her home. We furred out the existing columns/fireplace, drywalled and then added the detailed trim on the face of the fireplace along with a hand built beautiful mantle that met all of her needs. The fireplace was then sprayed with two coats of a high gloss enamel to give it a furniture finish look.
